Lifelong Unity for Nature and Animals Movement

Lifelong Unity for Nature and Animals (LUNA) Movement was founded out of a long-standing commitment to animals, nature, and the belief that all species deserve protection and respect. I have always cared deeply about the natural world, but living with my cat Luna brought this awareness into sharper focus.Through her companionship, I saw up close the emotional depth, empathy, and intelligence that many animals possess—traits that science is only beginning to understand more fully. While research continues to expand in this area, real-life relationships with animals show us that their inner lives are far richer than often assumed. Luna made that reality impossible for me to ignore.LUNA Movement was established shortly before Luna passed away, and her loss strengthened the direction and purpose of the organization. Her influence continues to guide our work and serves as a reminder of why this mission matters.
OUR VISION
We envision a world where humans practice planetary citizenship: living in a way that protects the well-being of all species, supports healthy ecosystems, and ensures justice across generations. This vision recognizes the intrinsic value of animals and the interconnected systems that sustain life on Earth.
OUR MISSION
LUNA Movement works to advance interspecies justice and planetary stability by addressing immediate animal welfare needs—beginning with community and stray cats—and by advocating for long-term changes that support coexistence between humans, animals, and the environment. Our approach includes hands-on care, community education, and efforts to shift how society understands and relates to animals. By acknowledging their emotional and cognitive capacities, even when the science is still evolving, we take a step toward a more compassionate and responsible world.Luna’s legacy lives in every part of this work. Her life, and the lessons she taught simply by being herself, continue to shape LUNA Movement’s purpose and direction.
